Elderly couple found murdered at their Agra home

An elderly couple were hacked to death by unidentified assailants in Khandari Colony of the city, police said today.

The bodies of leather dealer Avinash Grover (69) and his 65-year-old wife Usha were found lying in a pool of blood at their house in the posh locality early today morning.

The couple's son Girish Grover had gone to Delhi along with his family but returned today morning after being informed of the tragedy.

Neighbours found the bodies and informed police. A team from Hari Parbat police station visited the spot and recovered the bodies.

Police said the two had been done to death with a spade. Police found the hands of the man tied with a rope while the wife's mouth was stuffed with polythene and sealed with a tape.
 

Police said dog squad and forensic experts were looking for clues.
