Elderly man killed in accidental firing at marriage function

An elderly man was allegedly killed in accidental firing at a marriage function in Manikpur village in Tehbarpur area here, police said today.

60-year-old Bhuwal Ram was injured after a bullet hit him when he was attending the marriage function last night, they said.

He was rushed to a hospital, where he died during treatment, police said.

The police is probing the matter and trying to ascertain from where the bullet came, they said, adding that no arrests have been made so far in this connection.
