Om Prakash(60) had an altercation with the trio, identified as Satish, Sunder and Sonu over the issue last night following which they opened firing at him, they said.
The victim was admitted at a nearby hospital and is stated to be in a stable condition.
A hunt has been launched to nab the absconding accused while the further probes are on, they added.
