Elderly woman commits suicide in Ghaziabad

A 60-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Vijay Nagar, police said today.

Vijay Nagar police station SHO Surendera Yadav said that Shashi Prabha committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan last night.

On being informed, a police team reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.

Police were probing the motive behind her taking the extreme step.
