The 'Pran Pratishta' ceremony of the idol at the new temple will take place in the presence of the head priest of Puri Jagannath temple, Jagannath Sai Mohapatra Dwaitapati tomorrow.

Noted architect and sculptor Padma Vibhushan Sri Raghunath Mohapatra was entrusted to build the temple in 2009.

Mohapatra said the temple was built at a cost of Rs 17 crore over three acres next to Emami Paper Mills facility and it took four and half years to complete it.

The new temple is similar to the 13th century Sri Jagannath temple at Puri but is on a chariot.
