Actor Emraan Hashmi has begun shooting for former Indian cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin's biopic, "Azhar".
The actor took to Twitter to make the announcement and also asked his fans for their good wishes.
"We begin Azhar's journey... Wish us luck," tweeted Emraan, alongside a picture of a clapboard.
The film is being directed by Anthony D'Souza and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Sneha Rajani under their banners Balaji Motion Pictures and MSM Motion Pictures, respectively.
It is slated to release on May 13, 2016.
