An engineering student was today arrested on charges of posting morphed photos of a 19-year-old girl on a social networking website, police said.
Vamsa Krishna Yadav, studying in a private engineering college, was allegedly pestering the girl, a nursing student in Puducherry, police said.
The girl had spurned his advances, they added.
Irked over the girl's refusal, Yadav allegedly posted her morphed pictures on a social networking website, police said.
On a complaint from the girl's parents, police arrested Yadav under various sections of the IPC as also the Information Technology Act.
He was remanded to judicial custody, police said.
