England were reduced to 142 for seven at lunch chasing a huge target of 405 on the final day of the second cricket Test here today.

Mohammed Shami (2/30), Ravichandran Ashwin (2/45) and Ravindra Jadeja (2/35) shared the bulk of the spoils while Jayant Yadav got ben Stokes with a beauty.

Joe Root (25) and Jonny Bairstow (23 batting) were the only players who looked like putting up a fight.
