Ex-BSP MP, 11 others acquitted in violence case

A local court today acquitted former BSP MP Kadir Rana and 11 other accused in connection with a 12-year-old violence case.

Additional District Sessions Judge Dinesh Gupta acquitted all the 12 accused citing lack of evidence, the prosecution said.

All the persons acquitted were accused of violent protests at the resident of District Magistrate, against the arrest of BSP candidate Shahnawaz for alleged violation of poll code during Lok Sabha polls.
