Ex-MLA killed as tractor hits motorcycle, locals protest

Former MLA Jitendra Kumar Ninama and another person were killed when a tractor hit their motorcycle at Kheemra in Rajasthan's Banswara district, police said today.

Amreeshpur, aged 22, who was driving the motorcycle, and pillion rider Ninama (65) were killed in the accident, SHO (Kheemra Police Station) Narendra Kumar told PTI by telephone.

Ninama, elected on the Congress ticket, had represented Ghatol assembly constituency during the Shekhawat regime.

Locals staged protests blocking roads till midnight last night demanding arrest of the tractor driver.
