Two state government servants, including an Executive Engineer (Rural Works) were arrested today on graft charge from Bihar's Banka and Kaimur districts, an official said.
Acting on a tip off, a team of the vigilance investigation bureau raided the Executive Engineer (Rural Works) Javed Asraf's rented house in Banka town and caught him red-handed while accepting Rs one lakh in graft from one Lal Suryapal Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Vigilance, Ravinder Kumar said.
Asraf had demanded the said bribe from the complainant for approval of his bills related to rural works carried out by him, Kumar said.

Another vigilance investigation bureau team nabbed Ram Pravesh Ram, Head Moharir at Chakbandi office at Ramgarh in Kaimur district from his office for taking Rs 20,000 in bribe from one Jhabbu Singh Yadav in lieu of grant of permission to purchase land, Kumar said.
During search, the anti-graft team recovered an additional Rs. 12,500 from Ram's possession, the ADG (Vigilance) said.
