Executive officer arrested for accepting bribe

An executive officer posted in Rajasthan's Nagaur district was arrested red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 2 lakh, an official said today.

Kishanlal Kumawat, posted at nagar palika in Kuchaman, had demanded bribe from complainant Chhote Ram for presenting a favourable report in the court in a case, SP (Anti-Corruption Bureau) Kailash Bishnoi said.

"The accused was arrested from his office while accepting Rs 2 lakh bribe, the SP said, adding a case was registered against him and further investigation is on.
