Explosives recovered from train in Assam

A huge quantity of explosives were recovered from a train at Lower Haflong Railway station in Assam's Dima Hasao district today.

The explosives were recovered from a compartment of the the Silchar-bound Cachar Express coming from Lumding during a routine security check by GRP personnel at the station, a GRP official said.

The explosives, contained in two bags, included 292 pieces of gelatin sticks, 600 pieces of detonators (six packets with 100 in each pocket) and three coils of fuse wire of three feet each, he said.
