Explosive materials including 10 detonators were today found packed in a sack buried in a coconut farm near Periyakulam area of the district, police said.
Besides the detonators, the sack contained some wires and explosive powder, they said.
They were unearthed from a site near the well in the farm belonging to a farmer this afternoon when cultivation was underway.

The explosive materials were seized and experts have been called to ascertain the exact nature of the confiscated substance, police said.
On November 29, police had seized 10 country-made bombs in an abandoned bag near Veppampatti village in the district.
