Fair price shops to go digital in Haryana

The Haryana government is enabling digital payment mode at fair price shops in all districts from July 1 onwards.

Point of Sale (PoS) devices have been installed in all such shops in the state and all items of ration are being distributed through online system, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department said today.

As many as 18,22,708 transactions have been carried out through PoS devices in June 2017, he said.
