A debt-ridden farmer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, police said today.
38-year-old Tuhiram hanged himself with a tree in his farm in Sogar village under Kumher police station yesterday.
"His brother said that he had taken a loan of Rs.4 lakh and was unable to repay. Therefore, he was under stress," investigating officer Jaldeep Yadav said.
The body was handed over to family members after post- mortem.
