Farmer dies in lightning strike

A farmer died after lightning struck him on Friday in Palamau district, the police said here.

The farmer identified as 55-year-old Lakhan Yadav died instantly after the thunderbolt struck him while he was working in his agriculture field at Chiru village, the police said.

His body has been sent for post-mortem, they added.
