Farmer electrocuted in Batala

A 45-year-old farmer was

electrocuted when he was trying to start the electric motor of his tubewell at Anokot area here today, the police said.

Parduman Singh wanted to irrigate his paddy fields, they said.

According to police officials, Singh died on the spot.
