A group of farmers' organisation today supported farmers agitating here for various demands, including waiver of their debt and demanding benefits for the sector on par with the industrial sector.
The support was extended by Kisan Mahapanchayat at a meeting held here.
Tek Ram Kandela, president of Kandela khap presided over the meeting.

The meeting was attended by state president of Bharatiya Kisan Union Gurnam Singh, leaders of BJP and Indian National Lok Dal and Representatives of various khaps, among others.
Recently, Bharti Kisan Brigade, an organisation representing farmers, started an agitation here demanding implementation of Swaminathan Commission report, waiver of farmers' debt and benefits to agriculture sector on par with the industrial sector.
The Swaminathan Commission report has suggested that farmers should be given better returns for their crops.
Hundreds of agitating farmers had blocked National Highway at Uchana town in Jind district. A clash had took place between them and police, during which some farmers were arrested and cases were registered against them.
The Kisan Mhapanchayat demanded that the arrested farmers be released and cases against them be withdrawn.
The Mahapanchayat urged political parties to include demands of farmers in their election manifestos.
