Fire breaks out at mould manufacturing unit

A fire broke out today at a private mould manufacturing unit on Avanashi Road here, in which plastic and rubber products worth lakhs of rupees were gutted, police said.

Short circuit is said to be the reason behind the fire, they said, adding six fire tenders doused the blaze after two hours.
