: As a mark of respect to late president A P J Abdul Kalam, the Rally of Coimbatore 2015, the second round of the FMSCI Indian Rally Championship, scheduled to be held today, will be flagged off tomorrow.
The ceremonial flag off planned this evening was called off as a mark of respect to Kalam, a release from Coimbatore Auto Sports Club, the organisors, said.
The Rally of Coimbatore is the first gravel rally of the season, with the championship making a beginning with the Rally of Maharashtra on tarmac in Nashik.
Thirty six competitors from all over India are taking part in the rally with a host of different cars.
