Food poisoning claims two lives

Two members of a family died and three others were taken ill in a suspected case of food poisoning in Aurai area here, health officials said today.

Five members of the family were brought to the hospital following complaints of vomiting and diarrhoea in Mahthua village yesterday, Chief Medical Superintendent Ram Kunwar said.

During treatment, Manoj Mishra (32) and a child identified as Divyanshu died.

Among the three hospitalised, the condition of Adarsh (4) was stated to be serious.
