Foreign currencies worth Rs 1.20 cr seized from AI passenger

A Dubai-bound passenger was arrested on charges of attempting to smuggle foreign currencies worth Rs 1.20 crore, at the internationalairport here, DRI officials said today
DRI sleuths intercepted Muhammed Azgar Ali(20), a native of Kasargod district, around 11 PM yesterday, when he was about to board an Air India Express flight after security check.
During the search, officials found different denominationsof currencies of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE, to the tune of Rs 1.20 crore, concealed inside athermos flask in his baggage, which was seized, they said.
