Former Chief Minister Goubert remembered

Chief Minister N.Rangasamy today led the Union Territory to pay homage to the first Chief Minister of Puducherry, Edouard Goubert on the occasion of his 35th death anniversary.

Rangasamy garlanded the statue of the leader in Bharathi park. Speaker V Sabapathy, Ministers, legislators and chairmen of various public sector undertakings paid floral tributes at the statue.

Functionaries of the opposition Congress, including leader of the opposition V Vaithilingam and PCC Chief A V Subramanian, paid homage at the portrait of Goubert at the PCC office here.
