A four-wheeler vehicle of former Maharashtra minister N D Patil was allegedly stolen from his residence here, police said today.
The vehicle was parked outside Patil's residence in Ruikar colony. It was stolen in the intervening night of February 13-14, an official attached to Shahupuri police station said.
"It is suspected that driver side window was broken to open the doors and with the use of duplicate key, the vehicle was stolen. Its driver Neelesh Nakati lodged the complaint," he added.

A case under sections 379 (theft) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of IPC was registered in this regard, said the official.
Patil, who is the brother-in-law of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, had served as the Minister of State for Cooperation in the Maharashtra government.
