A Tuticorin district functionary of ruling AIADMK S Daniel Raj along with his supporters rejoined the Congress today in the presence of Tamil Nadu State unit president Su Thirunavukkarasar.
Elected MLA in three consecutive elections in 1984, 1989 and 1991 on a Congress ticket from Srivaikuntam constituency in Turticorin district, he later joined AIADMK after being with the G K Moopanar-led Tamil Maanila Congress for some time, according to Tamil Nadu Congress Committee.
Along with Daniel Raj, his supporters too joined the Congress party, TNCC said.
