Puducherry PWD Minister and PCC president A Namassivayam today paid homage to the statue of former Puducherry Chief Minister and freedom fighter V Venkatasubba Reddiar on his 36th death anniversary.
V Vaithilingam, speaker of Puducherry Assembly and son of Reddiar, Welfare Minister M Kandasamy, Congress legislators and delegates of different wings of the party were among those who paid floral tributes.
Workers of the ruling Congress paid homage to the portrait of Reddiar on the PCC office premises here.
Venkatasubba Reddiar was the second chief minister of Puducherry after its liberation from French regime in 1962.
