Former sarpanch shot dead in Sikar

A former sarpanch of a village in Sikar district was today shot dead by some unidentifiedassailants, police said.

Sardara Rap, who was the sarpanch of Jurathda village in Silkar district, had narrowly escaped from a similar attack three years ago.

According to the police, assailants came in a car and opened fire at a shop where the former sarpanch was sitting, killing him instantly.
