Four police personnel including an inspector were today suspended here for allegedly not taking action against two bootleggers from whose houses liquor had been seized a few days ago.

Police inspector H R Bhatu, sub-inspector G N Vaghela, head constable Bhanubhai Miyantra and constable Yuvrajsinh Jadeja, all attached to Gandhigram police station here, were today suspended by city police commissioner Anupamsinh Gehlot, said additional DCP Harshad Mehta.

A team led by Bhatu had raided two houses and seized illegal liquor, but allegedly did not take any action against the owners of these houses.

Gehlot, after coming to know about the case, had asked DCP Mehta to probe the matter.
