Four persons were killed and six others injured when the car they were travelling in overturned on the Agra-Mumbai national highway near here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when the SUV bearing Karnataka registration number, was on its way to Indore overturned on the highway after the driver lost control over the vehicle, Maxi police station in-charge Uday Singh Alawa said.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Rafique (22), Dada Meer (24), Saleem (25) and Maqdoom (22), all residents of Hubli village in Karnataka's Dharwad district.
The injured persons were admitted to Shajapur district hospital, he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations were on.
