Four family members injured

Four persons of a family including the parents were injuried when their eldest son attacked them with a knife and attempted to set afire his brother over a property feud in Shantinagar under Sidgora police station in the wee hours today, police said.

The accused, Satish Sah, an autorickshaw driver, attacked his father Paremeshwar Shah, mother Lalitha Devi, brothers Babulu and Inder with a knife over his share in the house they were living.

Satish allegedly poured petroleum product on his younger brother Bablu and made an abortive attempt to set him afire, sources said adding that all the four have sustained injuries and rushed to M G M Hospital, where doctors referred them to Tata Main Hospital.
 

The condition of Parmeshwar and Bablu, who was admitted in the burn unit of the hospital, were stated to be serious.

The accused managed to escape following the incident, police said adding that a case has been lodged in this regard.
