Four held for allegedly attempting to burgle a bank

Four persons were arrested for allegedly attempting a burglary at a in the Gudagodji town of Rajasthan's district, police said today.

Of the four arrested persons, one has claimed that he was a part of the elite President's (PBG), they said.

"Four persons were arrested while attempting a burglary at a late Saturday night. One of the arrested accused has claimed himself to be a President's (PBG). We need to verify his identity," SP, Jhunjhunu, said.

The accused claiming to be President's was identified as Sandeep Rajput, resident of Kishorpura area, he added. The other three accused were Vikas Meena, and Shakti Singh, Agarwal said.

A car was also recovered from the accused, police said.

The accused had allegedly entered the by breaking open the shutters, police said. The attempt was foiled after an alert neighbour provided information, they added.
