Four killed as car hits tree at Sambalpur

Four youths were killed and another injured seriously when the car carrying them hit a tree on NH 55 near Pradhanpalli under Charmal police station, 55 kms from here today.

The mishap took place when the victims were travelling from Rairakhol to Burla and the car dashed against a roadside tree after losing control, police said.

The deceased, all students, were identified as Biswanath Bariha (23), Saurav Singh (22), Lalit Kishore Hembram (24) and Swastik Setha (21), they said.

The injured, identified as Rohan Beria (21), was shifted to VSS Institute of Medical Science and Research, Burla for treatment and his condition was stated to be serious, they said.
