Four killed as jeep falls into gorge

Four persons were killed and two others injured when the jeep they were travelling in fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand's Almora district in the wee hours today.

The mishap occurred at around 4 AM when the jeep fell into a gorge near Danpo village of the district, killing four persons on the spot and leaving two injured.

The vehicle was on its way from Bhikiyasain to Saural when it met with the mishap. The injured have been admitted to government hospital, Ranikhet.

The deceased have been identified as Vipin Ram, Surendra Singh, Har Singh Negi and Ram Singh.
