Four persons were killed and six others were injured today, two of them seriously, in a road accident on NH-31 under Mufassil police station area in Bihar's Khagaria district, a police officer said.
The mishap took place after a jeep carrying about a dozen passengers collided with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ravi Ranjan said.
While four occupants of the ill-fated jeep died on the spot, six others sustained injuries. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured admitted to Sadar hospital for treatment where the condition of two of them was stated to be critical.
Efforts were on to ascertain the identity of the victims, the police officer said.
