Four killed, two injured after vehicle runs into a tree

Four people were killed and two others were injured after a four-wheeler they were travelling on, hit a roadside tree in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh today evening, the police said.

The incident occured at around 6.45 pm near Peddapalem village of M Cheruvu mandal of the district when the vehicle was on its way to Kadiri, the police.

The overspeeding vehicle hit the tree and overturned, resulting in the death of four persons on the spot, while two others sustained injuries, the police said.

The police is investigating further.
