Four of a family die under mysterious circumstances

Four members of a family died under mysterious circumstances today while two others were seriously ill in Aonla area of the district, with police suspecting they might have consumed poisonous substance.

The deceased were identified as Tularam (65) and his wife Vidyawati (60), who died today, and Ruma (6) and her 8-year-old sister of the same family, who had died yesterday, police said.

Rishipal (30) and Neelam (28), parents of the two girls, are battling for life in a hospital, they said.

The matter is being probed and police suspect all of them might have consumed poison, they said, adding that the post-mortem reports of the deceased are awaited.
