Four thieves nabbed at Dhanbad Railway station

The Government Railway Police (GRP) here busted an inter-state gang of thieves who used to steal luggages from train passengers by arresting four members at Dhanbad railway station.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Railway) Binod Kumar Mahto said that four gang members were sitting in dark at the platform last night. On suspicion a GRP patrolling party searched their bags and found stolen ornaments, clothes and purses.

Beside ear rings, mangal sutra, Rs 16,000 in cash, clothes, the GRP seized two mobile phone sets one belonging to a resident of Khunti (Jharkhand) and another to a resident of Bhavnagar (Gujarat).

The arrested persons belonged to Munger district of Bihar.
 

Before reaching Dhanbad the four gang members had stolen those articles from passengers of Ranchi-Bhubaneswar Garib Rath.

The Railway DSP said the gang used to steal luggages from passengers of trains.
