Four undertrial juveniles flee government observation home

Four undertrial juveniles held for heinous crimes, including murder and rape, escaped from a government observation home here early today, the second such incident to take place at the same centre in less than a year, police said.

Police teams are being constituted and the search operation is in full swing to nab the escaped juvenile prisoners, Additional SP Yamuna Prasad said, adding that all the concerned agencies have been alerted.

This is second such incident at the government juvenile observation home here in less than one year. Last October five juveniles escaped from the same home, police said.

The juvenile home is a rented accommodation on the second floor of a building in Kotwali police station area of Faizabad, where more that 60 juvenile delinquents are being held in less than two thousand square feet area.
