'Days of Our Lives' actor Freddie Smith and his girlfriend Alyssa Tabit got into a car accident.
They were injured and taken to hospital. According to the police report, "speed and alcohol are suspected to be factors in the crash", reported Ace Showbiz.
The accident happened in the early hours of Tuesday in Kingsville Township, Ohio. According to authorities, Smith lost control of his car after failing to safely negotiate a left curve. The car hit a culvert after crossing the centerline and travelling off the left side of the road.
Smith suffered minor injuries, but his girlfriend Alyssa was seriously hurt. She was trapped inside the vehicle after it flipped over.
He was taken to Conneaut Medical Center, and she was flown by helicopter to St Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown for surgery.
