Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section dropped by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following large position of trucks against slowdown in cargo movements.
Transporters said comfortable position of trucks amidst restricted cargo movements, mainly pulled down freight rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Surat, Kolkata and Mumbai freight rates slipped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 29,000, Rs 34,000 and Rs 32,000, respectively.
Rates to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram freights also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 80,000 and Rs 86,000, respectively.
