Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following easy availability of trucks against restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said excess enquires by truck operators for some of the destinations largely resulted in the fall.
Delhi to Chandigarh, Kanpur and Kolkata freight rates went down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 17,000, Rs 19,000 and Rs 31,000.
Freight rates to Bengaluru, Mysore and Puducherry also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 60,000, Rs 65,000 and Rs 66,000.
