Freight rates for nine tonne load section improved by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today on tight position of trucks against busy cargo movements.
Transporters said increased movement of cargo against tight position of trucks largely pushed up some centres freight rates.
Capital to Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune rates moved up by Rs.1000 each to Rs 31,000, Rs 34,000 and Rs 33,000.
Rates to Chennai and Mysore also rose by Rs 1000 each to Rs 69,000 and Rs 71,000.
