Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section hardened by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following tight position of trucks against cargo movements.
Transporters said less availability of trucks against restricted cargo movements, mainly resulted rise in freight rates.
Delhi to Mumbai, Kanpur, Indore and Mysore freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 29,000, Rs 20,000, Rs 22,000 and Rs 67,000.
Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Goa, Guwahati and Kochi rates also went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 56,000, Rs 58,000, Rs 55,000, Rs 57,000 and Rs 77,000.
