French student robbed on pretext of a lift

A French student was robbed of valuables and cash by three men who offered him a lift in Ghatampur area here, police said today.

The victim identified as Quentin Michael took a lift at the bus station from the three persons in a Maruti van to Khajuraho, SP (Rural) Rakesh Kumar said.

The van was stopped as they approached Patara and the victim was robbed of his Iphone, laptop, passport and cash.

He was robbed and abandoned in a secluded place.

An FIR has been registered at the Ghatampur police station and three teams have been constituted to track down the accused, he said.
 

No arrests have been made as yet, Kumar added.
