A 44-year-old man working at a fruit vendor's shop died after he allegedly had a fight with a customer in Jyoti Chowk area of the city.
A group of fruit sellers today protested over the death of Himmat Kumar at Jyoti Chowk area here, demanding action against the person involved in the brawl which broke out last night.
However, on the basis of preliminary investigation, police said that Kumar was an alcoholic and had an overdose of liquor last night, leading to his death.
The deceased's body has been handed over to the family after postmortem, police said, adding the reason for death would be ascertained only after the viscera report.
