Gambling dens raided, 27 arrested in Vizianagaram district

As many as 27 persons were arrested and over Rs 36,000 cash was seized during raids by the special branch police at two places in Vizianagaram district today.

The police arrested 24 persons by raiding a place on the outskirts of Vasadi village in Gantyada mandal, seized Rs 31,220 in cash and 10 mobile phones.

Another special branch police team raided a gambling den at Sunkaraveedhi in Ashok Nagar in Vizianagaram town and arrested three persons, seizing Rs 5,680.
