Gang busted in Ganjam district

The police today said it had busted a gang after arresting eight of its members and recovering from them looted gold and silver ornaments, a police official said.

Inspector-in-charge of Aska police station Baleswara Gidhi said that the gang had looted ornaments from different houses in Aska, Purushottampur, Kabisurya Nagara and Patapur areas of Ganjam district in the last seven years.

The arrested included a woman from Pakidi, the IC said.
