Gang of seven busted in UP

Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed a gang of seven involved in road hold up, dacoity and other heinous crimes, near Raya Tiraha cut falling under Raya Police station of the district.

Police also recovered one Scorpio, one Eco, one Tata Sumo, one Massy tractor and seven country-made pistols 315 bore with several live cartridges from the gang.

The gang includes four members from Mathura, one each from Agra, Hathras and Bharatpur (Rajasthan), police said.

The gang members are within age group of 29 to 25 years, SSP Dr Rakesh Singh said today.

I had entrusted SP Crime Dr Ashok Kumar to work it out. SWAT team and team attached to Raya police station did commendable work under him, he stated.
