Logistics company Gateway Distriparks today reported 41 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 47.74 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, driven by rail business.
The firm had posted Rs 33.7 crore consolidated profit in the same period a year ago, a Gateway release said.
Total sales increased by 16 per cent to Rs 292.65 crore in the reporting quarter from Rs 251.16 crore in Q2 of FY14, the company said.

"Both the Container Freight Stations (CFS) and rail businesses have achieved excellent results and are well set for further growth. Overall, the Group will continue to improve its performance in the current financial year," said Gopinath Pillai, Chairman of Gateway Distriparks.
Snowman Logistics, after listing on September 12 this year, ceased to be a subsidiary of Gateway Distriparks, which now holds 40.4 per cent in the former.
Accordingly, consolidated numbers do not include SLL's performance, the release said.
